DeckScore Terms of Service
Please read these terms carefully before using DeckScore.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using DeckScore ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
2. Description of Service
DeckScore is a mobile application for iOS that tracks scores for card games including Quiddler, Five Crowns, Phase 10, Rummy, Hand and Foot, Canasta, Skip-Bo, and Uno. The App provides:
- Game-specific scoring rules and round tracking
- Player statistics, win streaks, and achievements
- Game history grouped by date and game type
- Fully offline functionality with local data storage
3. No Account Required
DeckScore does not require account creation or login. All data is stored locally on your device using standard iOS storage mechanisms. You are responsible for backing up your device to preserve your game data.
4. Advertising
DeckScore displays banner advertisements through Google AdMob. You may remove ads permanently with a one-time in-app purchase ($0.99). By using the free version, you agree to the display of ads and acknowledge that AdMob may collect device identifiers as described in our Privacy Policy.
5. In-App Purchases
DeckScore offers a one-time in-app purchase to remove advertisements. All purchases are processed through Apple's App Store and are subject to Apple's terms and conditions. Refund requests must be directed to Apple.
6. User Data
6.1 Local Storage
All game scores, player names, statistics, and game history are stored locally on your device. This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to Pixelwright Digital or any third party.
6.2 Data Responsibility
You are responsible for any player names and content you enter into the App. Do not enter sensitive personal information beyond what is needed for score tracking.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the App for any illegal purpose
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- Circumvent any usage limits or ad-display mechanisms
- Redistribute or resell the App or any part of it
8. Intellectual Property
The App, including its design, features, and code (excluding user-entered data), is owned by Pixelwright Digital and protected by intellectual property laws. Game names referenced within the App (Quiddler, Five Crowns, Phase 10, Rummy, Hand and Foot, Canasta, Skip-Bo, Uno) are registered trademarks of their respective owners. DeckScore is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any game publisher.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT SCORE CALCULATIONS WILL BE ERROR-FREE.
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PIXELWRIGHT DIGITAL SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF GAME DATA OR STATISTICS.
11. Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. Since the App does not require an account, updated terms will be posted on this page.
12. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
